2025 Residential M&R

The project consists of milling and resurfacing of the pavement, installation or upgrade of sidewalk curb ramps, replacement of pavement markings and signage, adjustments of manholes, catch basins and water valve boxes.

Update 05/30/25: Contractor to continue sidewalk removals and replacements the week of June 2nd, on the streets listed here... Lewis St, Fraser St, Rosewood Terrace, Greeley St, Parkside Ave, McKinister St, Denver St.

Contractor to mill and pave Berlin Street, St Jacob St, Wadsworth St and Hazelwood St the week of June 2nd.

Brooks Avenue (Genesee Park Blvd. to Genesee St.)

Scope: Milling and Resurfacing of existing roadway, spot road base repair, spot curb, sidewalk and curb ramp repairs,  and roadway utility adjustments. In addition, new  traffic loops, pavement markings, and signs.

Church Street / City Hall

(N. Fitzhugh St to Pindle Alley)

This project consists of the replacement of the existing brick sidewalk with new brushed concrete and exposed aggregate sidewalk; replacement of the existing curb including installation of new underdrain, curb access ramp, and milling and resurfacing of Church St.

Culver Road

(Monroe Ave to Atlantic Ave)

Work consists of milling of the existing pavement and placement of a new pavement top course for the entire project corridor. The project also includes miscellaneous fulll depth pavement repairs, replacement of broken or missing curb, hazardous sidewalk section replacement, upgrading sidewalk curb ramps to ADA standards and placement of new pavement markings.

Exchange Blvd. (Ford St to Basin St)

Work involves: Milling and Resurfacing of existing roadway, spot road base repair, spot curb, gutter, sidewalk and curb ramp repairs,  and roadway utility adjustments. In addition, new bicycle facilities, pavement markings, curb bump outs and mid-block crossings will be installed at select locations.

Updated 05/30/25: City's contractor is working on Ford St. And Exchange Blvd. Sidewalk closures and temporary parking restrictions will be in place. Work on the intersection of Ford and Exchange has resumed.

Genesee Street
(Scottsville Road/Elmwood Avenue to Brooks Avenue/South Plymouth Avenue)

Work involves: full depth reconstruction of the existing roadway; water main and water service; new drainage structures; curb; sidewalk; asphalt cycle track; signals; lighting; signing; marking; new trees.

Park Avenue (Culver Rd to Oxford Street)

Work involves spot curb and sidewalk replacement, ADA curb ramps as well as catch basin installation, followed by milling & paving of the roadway.

A raised pedestrian crossing will be installed at Barrington Road and Buckingham Street after paving is complete.  

Updated 05/21/25: Villager Construction continues to work in the project corridor on various items.  Minor delays in traffic will occur throughout each workday between the hours of 7AM to 4PM.  Paving in this section is complete.  Utility adjustments will continue.

Pont de Rennes Bridge

Work involves structural repairs, bridge deck replacement, lighting replacement, railing modifications, and landscaping improvements.

Pont de Rennes Bridge is Open to Pedestrian Traffic

Contractor is completing final touchup and site feature installation is ongoing  on the bridge.

The bridge deck surface will undergo warranty repairs to the epoxy coating.  

Granite Mills Commons work is under construction with an anticipated completion in mid-summer 2025.
